4 days Best of Kenya walking safari takes you to the only unique safari destinations in Kenya. This walking safari passes via Lake Bogoria, home to hot springs and flamingos. Additionally to Lake Naivasha, which is a Crescent Island located on its eastern shore. Numerous species of wildlife are readily visible, including zebras, impalas, giraffes, wildebeests, and waterbucks. It is also a birder’s paradise, with over 200 species identified. Lastly, to Hell’s Gate, which is just past Lake Naivasha and is well-known for its vulture and eagle breeding areas as well as its natural hot springs.
Detailed Itinerary.
Day 1: Nairobi- South of Lake Bogoria via Walking.
On the first day of your safari, your guide from Focus East Africa Tours will meet you either at your hotel in Nairobi or Kenyatta International Airport and brief you about the safari. After the briefing you will drive to Bogoria as you enjoy the scenic views of the Great Rift Valley. We arrive Lake Bogoria country club in time for lunch then we drive south to Lake Bogoria game reserve and check in your lodge and after you prepare for the walking safari. You will be dropped at the park gate and with a game ranger, and then start the walk for 3-4 hours towards South of lake Bogoria at the hot springs with the massive views of the colorful bird species plant species and among many others. From there, your safari vehicle will pick you and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Walking at Lake Bogoria for Flamingos and Hot Spring
On the second day of the safari. Wake up early in the morning and take a delicious breakfast then after breakfast depart with packed lunches and visit the Flamingos and the hot springs. The springs shoot higher at 15 -18ft in the morning which is a wonderful safari experience though caution must be taken while near the hot springs as these are super-hot.
Afterwards, you will continue south to the end while you turn to east side of the lake. And spent the rest of the day walking in open savannah with scattered bushes and you will have the chance to see the greater kudu, Thompson’s and Grant’s gazelles as well as zebras, monkeys and baboons and among others. Later you will be transferred to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay at your lodge,
Day 3: Lake Bogoria to Lake Naivasha.

Get up early in the morning on the third day of the safari and departure to Lake Naivasha with breakfast. Once upon you arrive you will have lunch and check in your lodge, and later go for the afternoon game viewing walk at the privately owned Crescent Island, which is a peninsula on the Eastern shore of Lake Naivasha. There is an abundance of a breeze to witness game e.g. giraffes, wildebeests, waterbucks, elands, zebras and impalas. It is also a birder’s paradise, with over 200 species identified. After you will be taken back to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Hells Gate to Nairobi.
On the final of the safari. Wake early in the morning and take early breakfast then check out from your lodge, then go to the neighboring Hells gate national park with packed lunches. This park can be toured on foot or by cycling- bicycles are available for hire at an extra cost. Hell’s Gate is located just beyond Lake Naivasha. Famous for its natural hot geysers, eagle and vulture breeding grounds, visitors have the choice of driving, walking, camping, and cycling and rock climbing within the park. Special location to view include Fischer’s Tower, formerly a volcano’s plug, the Central Tower and Njorowa Gorges. Two extinct volcanos: Olkaira and Hobley’s are worth a trip. After you will proceed with your drive to Nairobi where you will be dropped at your hotel in Nairobi or Kenyatta International Airport where your safari will come to an end.
