On the second day of your 3 day Uganda gorilla trekking safari, you will get up early in the morning and be served with breakfast. After breakfast together with your packed lunch you will meet up with your safari driver and drive to the park headquarters for a briefing on the rules, regulations, and expectations of gorilla trekking. Gorilla trekking safari in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a fascinating experience and one of the most popular safari activity to do in Uganda. It is done in groups of 8 people, and each group is given a gorilla family to trek, as well as with the provision park guide who knows about the mountain gorillas and the jungle trails. Mountain gorilla trekking can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 6 hours, based on where the gorillas are. This is because mountain gorillas like to move around in search of food, so they are often in different places at the same time.
During gorilla trekking you will have glimpses of colorful bird species, other primates, and plant and tree species among others. Once the mountain gorillas are found, you will be able to spend an hour with them in their natural habitat. This gives you a chance to watch them do their daily activities like eat, play, and grooming. You can also ask questions, learn more about their habits and behaviors, take photos, and record the experience to show people back home after the safari. After spending an hour with the endangered mountain gorillas, you’ll trek back to the park’s headquarters, where you’ll get a certificate for parctipating in gorilla trekking. You’ll then meet up with your driver-guide and head back to the lodge to relax, evening nature walks around the lodge, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure to Kampala.
On the last day of the 3 day Uganda gorilla trekking safari, after a leisurely breakfast, you’ll check out of the lodge and be driven to Kampala by your guide. On the way to Kampala, you’ll stop in Mbarara town for lunch. After that, you’ll keep going to Kampala.
