A 4 Days Amboseli National Park safari is a grateful and diverse wildlife experience in one of Kenya’s excellent national parks. During your 4-day safari, you will have the chance to explore the park’s vast open grasslands and savannas, which are habitats for an incredible variety of wildlife, like elephants, giraffes, lions, cheetahs, and others.
With the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, you will embark on thrilling game drives, guided by the expert guide who will share their extensive knowledge of the park’s ecosystem and help you to spot the incredible wildlife that calls Amboseli home.
Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: pickup and transfer to Amboseli National Park.
On the 1st day of the 4-day Amboseli National Park safari, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Nairobi or from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. The drive from Nairobi to the park takes you through the Athi-Kapiti plains, a vast, open grassland that’s home to a wide range of wildlife, as you approach the park, the landscape shifts to amore arid and savanna-like one with the perfect view of Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.
You will arrive in the park in time for lunch after checking into your lodge. In the afternoon, you will head to the park for a game drive where you can enjoy viewing many animals, including elephants, giraffes, rhinos, buffaloes, and leopards, as well as a spectacular sunset in the Kitirua Hill area, which is worth visiting. After the experience you will return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and an overnight stay.
Days 2 and 3: Full day in Amboseli National Park.
On the 2nd and 3rd of the 4-day Amboseli National Park safari, you will wake up early in the morning and be served with a hearty breakfast. After you meet your safari guide and go for the morning game drive to spot the early risers, you will spot four of the big five mammals. During the experience, you will explore the park’s stunning spots, like the Longinye River area, the Amboseli swamp, and others that will give you an intriguing experience.
Alternatively, you can participate in Maasai village tours, where you will visit a local Maasai village, be welcomed by the villagers, and learn about their customs, traditions, and daily life. You will learn about the Maasai’s semi-nomadic lifestyle, their intricate jewelry and clothing, and their rich cultural heritage, while also having the chance to support the local community through the purchase of handmade crafts and souvenirs.
After the experience, you will be transferred back to the lodge for lunch, and after lunch, you will be transferred back to the park for the afternoon game drive.
During the afternoon game drive, you will spot the diverse numbers of animal species in the park’s diverse habitats; you will have the opportunity to explore the plains of Amboseli and watch many animals, such as large herds of elephants, lions, giraffes, gazelles, buffaloes, rhinos, antelopes, and many more, as you enjoy the stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro. After the experience you will head back to your lodge, have dinner and stay overnight.

Day 4: transfer to Departure.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy a delicious breakfast. After having breakfast at your lodge, you will check out, meet your safari guide, and go for an en-route game drive, during which you will observe the most active animal species in the park with the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. You will scan the savannah for last-minute sightings of Amboseli’s incredible wildlife, including lions, elephants, and giraffes, before proceeding back to Nairobi with an en-route lunch.
And after lunch you will be dropped off either at your hotel or at Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your departure flight back home. And this will make your safari come to the end.
